Resonator / Presilencer

Has anyone used one of these resonators from ebay
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/UNIVE...QQcmdZViewItem
I don't know what packing material they use (if any) but they are dirt cheap and the 02 sensor bung would be nice for my LC1
Right now on my 12A in my Beetle I am only running a big magnaflow after about 18" of 2.5" tube comming off the stock thermal reactor. It is LOUD.
I am building a megasquirted 13B that will be recieving a full stainless equal length header similar to the header I made (and sold) back when I thought I would not be installing another 12A in my car again.

The 13B is ported and the header won't make it any quieter. I'm just looking into other muffler/resonator options. The RB presielencers are expensive and only 2" ID The tube I bought for my header primaries is about 1-5/8 ID (same cross sectional area as the X-setional area of my exhaust port) and the collector tube is 2.5" OD
I'm willing to sacrafice a little power for my sanity (and my neighbors). According to my G-tech she runs a mid 15 with the stock 12A, the 13B should put me well into the 14s and the more unassuming my little bug can be the better hehehe!
