repu electronic dizzy
how you doing guys i got a question on the electronic dizzy swap....i got a 74 rotary truck and i swapped in the distributor, coils, and hardness from a 83 rx7 brand new cap, rotor, plugs and wires.....but i get no spark when i try to crank it over......so my question is why am i not getting spark........and if its the stock ignition signal wire what color is it?......
More often then not you won't get 12v to the coil when cranking. Once you release the key from cranking it'll power the coil and will sound like it wants to start. You need to get a way to get 12v to the coil when cranking then everything works normally. It's a pain in the *** if you don't have an actual volt meter to test it. But that's what's going on there, and what Wacky's trying to lead you towards. It took me forever to figure this out with my RX-4 a while back. This led me to buying two MSD 6AL's to fire up my car. Then Wacky told me what to do.

haha thanks for the advice 510 boy..... well pertano that was my second choice buying some Msd's to get this dam thing started.....this is the only thing stopping me from driving it.... but i know u can do it with out Msd's i just need to kno what color is the wire that sends 12v to the coils..
Isn't there a yellow with black stripe wire and a black with yellow stripe wire? One has power in START. The other has power in ON. Jumper these together. Doublecheck everything before you do this. I did mine in early '97.
