Talking REPU back on the road!

I finally got my REPU back together and took it out today for a test drive. Its been down for about 10 months being disrespected with a truck bed full of junk, cats puking on the roof, etc, while I did the following:
-dropped resealed oil pan + bazai oil pan brace
-new clutch, pilot and throwout bearing
-new brake calipers, master cylinder and SS lines (from ReSpeed.com along with the banjo bolts -thx Billy!)
-made a new oil cooler mount
-new battery cables
-made and installed hockey puck motor mounts - I can totally feel the engine through the gas pedal now - brap brap brap!
-new transmission mount

Its running great and no leaks to be seen. The new clutch has a much softer pedal then the last one so it should be a bit better in traffic - no slipping though even giving it some gas. Only bad things were my cool old school M wooden shifter **** split in 2 and I heard a tool drop out onto the road at some point but it sounded like a cheap one (I hope!).

Still to do
-bleed brakes some more
-install refurbished control arms to replace the one with the stripped bolt

Planning on driving it around tommorow and I'll get some pictures once I clean it up a bit.

Cleaned it up and put about 50 miles on it today with my 8 year old. Still ran great and it was a pretty nice day for a drive too

The PO painted the bottom part of the cab black (Its there - PO was NOT Fred Flintstone!). I like it but I think when it gets repainted someday I'll make it body color.

Very nice REPU!!!. Brings back memories of my REPU. My was so clean my friend wanted a even swap for his RX7. Got me a stock RX7 and turned it in to a beast with Street Port, Weber 48 IDA and NOS. The REPU has the same set-up minus the NOS.

If there's only one good reason for not finishing your truck, thats got to be it. I'd love to pick up an rx3 someday but I would really like to see my truck and 7 repainted and both running at the same time. Ok and maybe a big turbo in the repu....

RatBoy: Thanks for the compliment. I do love my rotaries and wish I still have them. The grill was a Ford Courier that I was able to fit the REPU back in the days with square headlights.
