Hey that's pretty cool! I've seen some pics of a rotary project kelmark a couple years ago. I'm glad yours is coming along nicely!

Hi Jeff20B
I've talked with the guy doing the other rotary in a kelmark(I don't think he's ever finished the project.) In the early 80s you could get a Kelmark from the factory with a rotary(mine came from the factory with a turbo spyder Corvair.) Nobody has ever put a TurboII into a Kelmark and its been a real job! If I had to do it all over again I'd probable go with a supercharger and carb on a TurboII engine, It would have been a lot less work, although I would really miss my Haltech(even though it was a bear to hook up.)

Hi Rotortuner,
Are you the guy I gave the 12A engine to? After I put the Haltech in my Kelmark I could get it to do everything, but inject fuel. I worked day and night , but nothing! Arturo of Chile(my hero!) sent me some new maps that he had modified from the Hitmans maps and it started right up. The problem was this was a few days after the Cruz. I will be at the Cruz this year!! I haven't gotten the interior in yet and I need to get a roll cage built for it. Do you know anyone in Kitsap county that is good at building roll cages? I've got a few other small things to sort out, but it is drivable. I'm going to redo my steering as the company that sold me the steering box gave me one that is not very good(they said it was brand new!) I've also got to get my guages hooked up and I have a 75lb lead bar to put in the front to help keep it down. If you want to stop over to see what I've done, drop me an email. I work week on, week off and today is my first day off.

Hi Snrub,
If you go to nopistons.com there are a couple other pics in the general discussion forum. The TurboII was a real bear to fit in the car. I was able to buy the engine adapter, clutch/pressureplate and the same company machined me a 12lb flywheel, but a lot of the other mounts for things I had to mill myself(lucky I have access to a milling machine and lathe!) The exhaust is custom 3" stainless steel with a racing beat premuffler and a supertrap 3" in- 4" out muffler(it gives it a great sound without the 2cycle rotary sound.) its got a 10 gal. alum. fuel cell with a custom alum mount and has a Bosch fuel pump. I've beefed everything in the suspension(coil over shocks, 4-wheel disc brakes, etc.) Its taken me over two years and $17,000 to get running and I still need to put an interior in it. As its winter here, I've only done a couple short drives, but at half throttle when the secondary injectors kick in and it gets a little turbo boost its like someone has hit the back of the seat with a baseball bat! The front end gets real light(and this is only at half throttle doing rolling starts!), but I am putting a 75lb lead bar and the battery up front. I've owned some fast cars in the past(427-'67 Vete, 425hp Impala SS, 325-'68 Rancharo), and this is the first one that kind of scares me, as it only 1800lb and has at least twice the HP it came from the factory with.
