Ya I have seen one of these before. I used to be into RC airplanes, but never heard one run. Pretty small though. I wanted to put one into an rc car. most rc cars se .21 at the largest so .30 would fly.

I found out about it in a Rc car mag. Was October 01 issue of Radio Control Car Action . They were talking about the advantages of using a rotary in a rc car, less vibration, lighter weight, good power. They also said there aren't any kits to put one in a car, although you could do it if you built all the mounting parts. Pretty cool idea, just too much time and effort to do it, at least for me.

My friend got one of those OS Graupner engines. It's air cooled and spins backwards comapred to a Mazda rotary. This is to keep the prop on. I've never heard it run, but there is a wav file on the Os Graupner web page (or at least there was 2 years ago when I downloaded it).

I am thinking he is talking about making a 2 rotor RC engine and putting an RC RX-3 body on it.

or 5cc, and it makes 1.2hp at 18,000rpm when using recommended fuel. BUT, if you use high percent nitro fuel it can make 2hp!!

I have one for a RC Harvard I have its a 1970 model and says made in germany on the box, its quite a different design to the one which is on sale now, its porting is more like a sachs engine (its not a pp like the new engines) so I believe its not as powerful as the current model, but it starts a whole lot better, I had one of the new engines for a while and it was hard to get started and you had to have it spinning over really fast for it to even think about it, the old model I can flick the prop over by hand and away it goes! I saw one in an rc rx7 on New Zealand auction site www.trademe.co.nz about a year ago, From memory the guy stated that it had a two speed auto gearbox and when it hooked second gear the wheels would spin! But anyway heres a video of a two of them in an rc tractor !
