Car is lookin super hot, makes me really want to get started on my starlet. Once i get it done im going to have to hit some of you guys up and we should do an old school cruise in so-cal. mmmm mid 80's and older rotary powered cars mmmm. Man what a sound that would be like 10 of us rolling down the freeway lol.

Out of curiosity did anyone go to jccs last year and see my bright *** orange car there ? A couple of peoples rx's look familiar and i could swear i saw them there.

Keep up the good work on the car, it was interesting to see someone else that is using 4 link right now with a ford explorer rear end. Thats what im going to do but im keeping the 4 link and buying groundcontrol coilover conversion kits for front and rear, except ill be running mr2 struts that are shortened slightly up front and camaro shocks in the rear all adjustable koni's though.

Subscribed i think this thread is where im going to get my motivation to finish the car from lol. Gotta love oldschool where you have to custom fabricate 90% of the parts because no one makes em lol

Thumbs up on the car man im lovin it

Hoopers, however, I would not recommend them. Lots of issues. Axles are from QP.

Thanks Man! Got it fired up last weekend. Started on the first try. It is suprising quiet. Flying Steve out to tune it at the end of January. Hopefully, I will get 400 to the rear wheels.

What I get no credit, old man?

Yes they both did a great job with the work I could not do. It never would have got done without them.

As for track time...Hmm, let me see...I'll probably run it into tree before I have time to get it to the track.

Do you have anymore pics of your under carriage? I don't care if they are from different angles or the side, just want to see. I am thinking about doing the same thing with mine with an 8". What are the tire sizes and may I ask what the width of the axle is. Is the axle out of an explorer? Sorry for all the questions, just got motivated. Thanks.

Rear is out of a 97+ explorer. If you get that year or above, you get disc brakes, and either a 3.73 or 4.10 gear. Plus, they are big axle 31 spline. I got mine off of ebay for $325 to my door.

I am not sure of the width. I basically took my stock rear end to the fab shop and had them match it up. So, if you can measure yours you should be able to get the dimensions needed.

Thanks for the reply, I have been looking, but have found them at $650+. I think that rear is also suppose to come with a trac lock. Do you know if it does?

Here is who I got mine from. Currenty going for $250. Shipping was $125 through yellow. He will include the gear set, and the posi unit, which I believe is the trac lock.
