I thought the later 12a's (incl 1st gen rx7's) used 3mm seals as well... shouldn't these fit?

I have an early 12A I havn't pulled apart yet. It may have 6mm seals. I need to get a 13B together that is spread around my shop first but I'd be happy to check in the exhaust ports to see whats in there.

Twin Dizzy motors use the 6mm carbon seals - Mazda ran out of new ones a couple years back - but plenty around in Aussie and NZ. Post up a wanted Ad on the AusRotary site, someone will have some they can post over.

The other option is to replace the rotors and counterweights with later model 12a ones - then you can use 3mm seals - but again, I would use carbon, as the steel seals will wear your housings more quickly.
