Pics of RX2 build + turbo manifold construction

Page 1, car pics

Page 2, engine apart, shiny rotors

Page 3, turbo manifold constuction

This is in my 73 RX2. It looks worse than it is. I will probably have it painted over winter. Oh yeah, for the time being, I am going to be running a blow through carb. Did an Ito port when I had it apart. Still a lot of work, hope to have it running by spring. -Shawn

Thanks. I bought the shell one year ago because I wanted a better foundation to start with. I originally had an 80 rx7 that was very rusty and I thought that I would just fix it later. I am pleased to start with a better car and something that is different.

I still have not seen a RX-2 or 3 or 4 on the roads in Wisconsin. That thing is gonna look great on the highway. Keeping it white?

Been there before, have some family there. Only thing I liked though was the ford dealer with a Pantera inside in there showroom.

Robert- thats a nice car. I have always admired your projects. Really impressive on pushing the envelope.

Here are some more pics of the engine out of the car.

I am going with a holley, but later if I go with fuel injection, I will experiment with throttle bodies and homemade plenums. Robert, I am going with a locked distributor, how well can it be setup to run on the street, any recomendations to this style of ignition. Thanks again.

a locked dizzy is the way to go.. its simple, bulletproof and can support lots of h/p with a pair of mds 6A units hooked up!!
i would start with 10 deg. advance with a 5 degree split to be on the safe side and go from there and you'll be fine...
