Thank's Guys!! I really got lucky with this car.I still have a hard time believin I actually have such a clean Deuce!!!Quick Story....Actually it's not that quick.

Back when My wife and I were teenagers (we have been together for 22 years, started dating in 10th grade)The neighbor across the street had a 1973 Angel Blue 4-Door RX2 Sedan Mint,All Original with 60,000 miles on it.Steve(the neighbor)used to go outside 2-3 times a week and try to get the little deuce to run.It was parked in the corner of the front yard not running for 5 years.Every couple of days Steve would go outside, open the hood,Fiddle around with the motor and unsuccessfully try to get the car running, kick the Tire and go back inside.

My Father-In-Law (God rest his soul) would sit in the Kitchen with a Pall Mall No Filter screwed into his lips and watch out the window as Steve would curse, kick & scream ath the Mazda. Now the funny thing is My Father-In-Law could build a Car from the Ground up with his Eyes closed. He could listen to the car & tell you whats wrong with it.So, this goes on FOR YEARS!!!!!! Steve goes out...Steve goes in.

Finally, My wife after failing her road test 3 Times...Passes!!! Look Out!!!
She comes home with her New License...Dad I Passed!!!! Dad say's.....Finally!!!
Now go across the street and offer Steve 50 Bucks for that hunk a ****!
(Sorry guy's just repeatin what the ole man said)

My wife goes across the street tells steve My Dad wants to buy that little blue thingy for 50 Bucks.50 Bucks!!! Steve Say's!! Are you Crazy?? I want 100.00 but tell him he knows the car hasn't ran in over 5 Years. So my wife runs back Home and tells her Father. He say's OK give him the Damn 100.00.Mark!!(That's me!)Come On! Help me push this thing across the street!!

So, we go across the street. My wife hands Steve the 100.00.Steve say's Good Luck I have been trying to get this car started for Years!!! We push the car across the street. My Father-In-Law tells My wife Get in the car & turn the Key.She turns the key,He listens to the motor turning...STOP! Mark get me my Screwdriver!
I hand it to him,he starts playin around under the hood.OK Turn The Key!!!! My Wife turns the key.....Wouldn't you know the ****** Thing Starts Right Up!!!!!
Well, Steve now comes blazin across the street!!(must have been lookin out his kitchen window like my father-In-Law was doin for 5 years)HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET IT RUNNIN??? Boy, was he Pissed!!! Long story short My wife drove that car for the next 5 Years without any Mechanical problems. In the winter, her brothers Piston Cars wouldn't start and they would all borrow her little RX2 Sedan the most reliable car in the Family. That Car was My wife & my introduction to Rotaries. We both have owned at least 3 Dozen Rotaries since.

So needless to say when I saw this car come up "For Sale" on E-bay I was prepared to pay whatever I had to To get That Car!! The only difference between this RX2 and the one we had 22 Years ago is This one is Cleaner & is a 4spd.We will NEVER sell this Car.My 74 Deuce that's a different story if I can find an original Stock RX2 Coupe i would trade the Modified 74 in a heartbeat even for an Automatic!!!

THE END

Fix up what? The car is Mint.I need to replace the two front seats eventually but thats about it.The car Runs & looks like new.Everything works!! Even my power antenna.I took it to a local mechanic to get the safety inspection done & he wanted to know if the car had ever seen the Road? The Undercarriage & all the Bushings are like new.The Exhaust is original w/ all the Heat Shields.

If you want to post My story above & use the pics on the link for my site that would be very cool
