Old School Rotaries in Movies & TV

Check out this website called "Internet Movie Car Database: www.imcbd.org
It has a searchable database of cars and trucks used in movies and televsion programs. I searched "Mazda" and found 5 pages of various years Mazdas that were seen in movies from all over the world. I have posted some of the old school rotaries. You can also post responses and summit images A great site.
The first photo is that of the Mazda dealership in "Gone in 60 Seconds" 1974
Next photo is a 1974 REPU in "Sudden Impact" 1983
Next 2 photos is a 1974 RX-3 in "The Wraith" 1986
Last photo is a RX-2 in "CHIPS" 1977-1982 (?)
Also, The second season of "The Rockford Files" 1974 has RX-2,RX-3 and RX-4 in nearly every episode all in new condition!

There's a yellow repu in "Poltergiest" and a blue one in "The Rock". I also watched this cheesy movie about this guy that turned into a snake called "Sssssss". There was an rx2 in there but I cant remember the color.

hehe, they sure did spend a TON of money on an RX7 just to make it look like a slightly modified RX8. . . . please tell me HOW they upgraded it?

anyways, i know this isnt an old school (but since its already been done. . . i can go ahead and say it anyways. . . ), but there was an FD in. . . CRAP, i JUST forgot the name of that movie. okay, okay, okay. . . it has tom selleck and richard deyfuss (sp?) in it. they are two of four retired mafia dudes living in florida. they decide to "get back into it". . . while theyre duscussing it, they look in front of their sitting area (its where they always seem to sit and collect) and there sits an FD right in front of them. . . parked next to a curb.

crap, ill have to find the movie name. . .

Got this RX-8 DVD from Japan featuring the X-Men car. On it is a featurette on the car and they indicate that Mazda supplied a preproduction RX-8 for use in the movie. The movie was made months before the Rx-8 was available to the public.

You mean the yellow car up on blocks? I thought that was an RX3, but then I only saw it briefly.

I like the scene in 'Gone in 60 Seconds' shot from inside the Mazda showroom, it shows one of those plastic cutaway rotaries on a stand. There was one of those on eBay a while back.
