FL RX2 4dr update!

Well my fellow Rotary Heads, just to update you on the RX2 4dr that I purchased for a father and son project has been dissolved. My son couldn't hold a job and flew the coop on me so I finally after (5+ years) had my yellow 4dr painted. I did not spend too much time on it, but the paint job cost me enough. Painter did not do a perfect job (did not sand it to the metal and did not paint engine compartment) but did cut out most of the rust cancer and welded new metal and also painted the door jams and trunk. Oh almost forgot that I replaced both passenger doors with 2 spares and bought some 15" Meshies and New tires for it. Now to start saving for the motor and trans. 8(

Let me know what you guys think of the before and after pictures!

Sorry to hear about the father and son thing. The car look nice! Its too bad that it did not come out the way you wanted, especially after spending the money. Just keep your head up and moving forward, one day all the hard work will pay off and you'll have the car the way you want it.

Looks good Manny,

Is the pin stripping a sticker? Or painted on ? I am getting ready to paint my rx2 sedan and looking for ideas.

Thumbs up RX2 paint job

Washington, the pin stripe was painted on. The old buzzard that painted it, did a pretty good job, not too shabby for a 60 year old! LOL

Looks good Manny, @ least in the pictures!! A very fitting '70's color too.
I remember (and had driver's licence by then too) these when they were new @ the dealer... so watch those not bad for a 60yr old comments. I'm not so far away from that myself and work circles around the +/-20yr olds @ my work.

Nice project Manny, I also bought my 4door so my dad and I could spend some quality time building it up... I hope to have it finish by spring 2009, because it only need's a fresh coat of paint.. It's all orginal like your car
