New 4 Seat Mazda Concept: SENKU

Mazda will show off a 2 door, 4 seat concept at the Tokyo Auto Show this
year, called the Senku.
This isn't an RX-7 prototype, as the doors aren't normal, they are
"large flying wing electric powered sliding doors."

However, most interesting is this:

"Located between the front and rear axles is the next generation 13B DI
direct injection gasoline rotary engine with a hybrid unit."

Well its just a prototype. Shoot they didnt even give it any head lights. I think that they are just giving the new engine technology a futuristic looking platform.

it fits the hybrid look. fugly is an understatement. although by adding a hybrid unit to a rotary you might be able to get the same gas milage as a very small v-6 geez i love getting 17-18 in my 3.0l ranger but getting 12-14 in my all stock 12a RX2 thats sheer joy.
