Question Need some direction.

Hello. I am new to rotary engines etc so bear with some of my stupidity. Ive been dealing in mostly domestics but i have also played with some imports.

I just picked up a 1973 RX3 locally for $1100. No engine, no trans, no driveshaft. the interior is a bit rough but easily fixed. needs paint BAD but only has a Tiny bit of surface fust on the roof (was stored in a garage for about 16 years) and it has 2 dents in the passenger door and driver front fender. Radiator is also rotted out. and i just dropped the gas tank and had that boiled and resealed.

Since this car weighs so little, and since i am surrounded by a bunch of muscle car heads (my friends) who always say there is no such thing as a fast import it hought i have the chance to prove them wrong!! Especially with an 1800lb RWD rotary powered mean machine.

Anyway, i want to do a 13b Turbo setup to about 500-600hp range, preferably pump gas but not needed. Someone suggested a 20b but i dont think that would be worth it to gring over considering i only have about $8000 to spend for now. (loan) i can do the body work myself and get it painted for a good price thanks to my friend. Is there any specific 13b better than the other? Would it be cheaper to take a non turbo 13b and have it built to turbo specifications with hardened gears, Turbo seal kit etc etc.? or just try and locate a low mile 13b-REW 5/spd and go BPU?

If you are that ambitious, I'd just go ahead and do the twin turbo 13B and 5 speed.

I don't know if $8G is enough though . . . it certainly would look great and go fast though!

For bushings check here:
http://www.noltec.com.au/

They will ship to America I asked them already, and they've got bushings for all the old rotaries (and everything else!)
