Sorry Eddy. This Glenns' Mazda manual I have doesn't have any pictures of the backside of the single piston caliper. I'll see if my friend has something.

Dude, its only a brake caliper. What do you mean hanging on the brake hose. First, the caliper bracket must have 2 bolts to secure it. Secondly, IIRC, its the wedge type of caliper that has 2 sliders like the 79 RX-7 front calipers. That you can use. 80 RX-7 wont work as the caliper is similar to the 81-85.

Maybe you need a pic of a 1979 Rx-7 system. I know my Cosmo shared the same calipers as a 1979.

thanks wackyracer, but it looks like the rx3 is not the same as rx4 I really apreciate that you tried and man are you quick..you dont play when it comes to these rotoraies.

and thanks 74rx4 for the link but I need an actual pic of the caliper mounted on the rotor, you have a 74 right the calipers have these 2 tounges or brakets with a small hole on each side that you have to wedge/slide in (1on top and 1 on bottom right?).. I belive I am missing 2 and that may be the problem and how do you asemble it?

all others your help is much apreciated and I thank you for helping me in this situation.

Rx4 Pics

Hello,

I have a 74 RX4 Coupe and will be removing the wheels this week. I will try to grab some pics of what you are requesting. I also have the complete shop manual, I will look through it to see if its in there, it must be.....If so I will try and scan (if I can get mine working) and send you off the pics.

regards

Max

PS Is yours a coupe or 4 door? What color?

Eddy,

You guys have some issues up there if you couldn't figure out the brakes. I suggest you buy an RX-4 shop manual from Ebay or a forum member. It will save you time and effort.

We can give you a cigarette and/or a light but we can't smoke it for you!
