Need help with info on RX712A rotors vs Series 3 RX2 12A rotors

I am building a steerport 12A and was going to use RX7 S2 rotors, but found the apex grooves worn. I have set of Series 3 RX2/ Capella rotors that i want to use but would like to know are there any diffs between these in regards to weight, horsepower, SG strength etc.
The only difference i can find are the obvious combustion chamber shape.

Okay, but you posted twice in the same 1st-gen tech section. You must have forgotten where you were. It was okay until SOMEONE bumped this one up.... Next time, just let it slip off the page. FWIW, you were advised to post in the "Other Rotary" section, which this is not.

If anyone has anything to add, here's the other thread, also in the 1st gen tech section, to post in. If someone could lock this, that would be marvelous.

I'll tell ya what. I'll move this one into the Other Rotary section for ya and leave the original one in the 1st Gen section.

That should get you your answer, I would hope.

My GUESS at the answer, is that any 12a rotors can be used with any 12a housings, since they didn't change the shape or size of the housing. Of course you'll need the appropriate counterweights for those rotors and if the apex seal size is different you'll need those in the right size as well.

I'm sure the Other Rotary guys will be more helpful, but that's my guess, you should be alright if you take the right steps to make sure it balances and seals well.

your good any 12a rotors will work with any 12a housings. But take a note to self

Your always better off trying to use the same balance as in 12a rotors, e-shaft counter weights and if you have the same housings even better. But if you don't have the same housings to match the balance then use the same housings from another motor. And if you don't have that then just get two good 12a housings that seem to look there best.

And you should be good

Here you go.

The 83-85 rotors are the lightest and thus most sought after.
