my rx2 turbo II project
Well, I have been slowly collecting parts for my rx2 and I almost have them all. Here are some pictures just to show off how far I have gotten. I'm doing a sheet metal dash, I got it in and now just need to get some hole saws to cut all the holes for gauges. I am waiting for a roll cage to push hard on the inside and I'm re-wiring the whole car, bumper to bumper and I am going to run gutted interior, 2 seats and thats it.
My dash will have all these goodies:
zeitronix wideband
all auto meter pro-comp ultralights
tack 0 to 10k
speedometer 0 to 200
water temp
oil temp
volts
pyrometer
fuel pressure
fuel level
boost
oil pressure
I am also going to have all the ports to data log and program my Haltech e6x
and all the switches.
On to the engine bay, freshly rebuilt turbo 2 with 3mm Atkins seals
custom intercooler 24x18x3
a T04E T3-T4 turbo charger will also be replacing the stock turbo
and just the stuff that is needed to run, otherwise its gone.
In the trunk I am going to put a new 15 gallon fuel cell and an optimum red top.
It's going to be pro-street, so everything will work because I want to be able to drive it on the street.
After it's running I want to get it painted to match my rx8, so velocity red paint and an all black interior.
The drive train will be all gsl-se rear and front end, I've got the parts but right now I'm just waiting for time.
So, take a look, I'm going to add to the thread as I get more done on the car, but for the most part I'm just waiting for the intercooler and roll cage.
Here are pictures, so far I just have the seat in for looks and the dash is in to set up for all the gauge locations.

That looks cool! I wanna do sumthin similar but I have a question on the Speedo...did you have to order a certain speedo for the type of tranny you're using? Does it connect the same way or are adapters needed? Finally, will the speedo be synced up with the tranny output (will it be acurate)?
Sorry for all the dumb questions...

Remove the tar and then a nice flat black rattle can job lol.

Well I spent the day working on going to a gsl se rear end. I removed both pumpkins and on Monday I'm going to go to a rear end shop and get them cut and rewelded, so here are some pictures of the fun.

Ok, well I've started on the gsl se swap on the front end and it looks good for now. I need to fab up some parts and I will start to build up the front end. I am going to make some phone calls in the morning for the rear end front and see if I can get what I need or if I need to have it made. I also flat blacked the engine bay and I will do the same to the trunk and interior after I get the roll bar and dash done. Please let me know what you think so far any input is welcome.

Well I'm collecting more parts and after calling every shop in town and being told that they can't cut my rear end I found a gsl at pick and pull and stole the diff and got the respeed disk brake adapter brackets and swapped them over. I also got my poly urathane bushins for the rear and I'm watching for the disk to show up. I also cut and redrilled the strut towers to fit the gsl struts. I also ordered respeed camber plates so I get the geometry right.
