getting the oil pan welded up at my friends shop.im using the cosmo 13BRE oil pan cause it already has the sump in the rear, and using the GSL-SE ring where the holes mount up to, welded to the cosmo pan so it bolts up to the GSL-SE front cover properly.also using the cosmo pick up tube since its made already for the pan.i will put up pics as soon as i get it done.

latest is im working on the electrical on the entire car, since when i bought it it had no electrical, also starting the engine build in the next couple weeks,as for the tires these cars cant handle turns for ****,so the skinny's in the front is for the drag car look.im going to see a lot of track time in this car once its done.for now i got the 4 door rx2 to get me around in since its all O.G.will post up pics as soon as i get more progress going.

just picked up some shiny parts for both of my rx2's,1 for the sedan, the other pair for the coupe.they are turbonetics turbo's t4 60 series, with t66 blades.they were custom made for the guy i bought them from, exhaust housings were ceramic coated, but are no use for me since they are .81,i need a .96 or bigger.here are some pics.the wastegates are also turbonetics new gen 55mm.

its been a while and finally got back into the car again.i just been to busy the past couple months and didnt have time for the car.it is currently at my friends shop and they are doing the whole electrical on the car,it didnt have any when i bought it.they also started on the mounting of the intercooler and radiator.next is the header for the turbo and all the intercooler piping.since last time i posted i decided to go with a FD REW 13b instead of the TII.here are some crappy iphone pics, will post as the project goes.thats just a mock up engine, when the new motor goes in everything will be polished.

dave love your build! i own a 73 rx2 and i am having troubles deciding how to build it up. i like to have some power to have fun with but im also scared of the weak rear end in these cars and have heard the front suspension is not ideal for track use or drag. i also have a gsl-se that i thought would be good to use all the running gear out of? in the end i know it is all about how you yourself wants to build your own car but its always nice to have some opinions.
