This project was completed, took 7th overall at the Grassroots Motorsports $2006 Challenge, was upgraded with various bits and pieces such as custom half shafts which fixed a problem with breakage. I then found a retired Jensen Healey ITS car with a pro built cage and current SCCA logbook, it was a rolling chassis for free. I grabbed it and stuck a TII engine in it, along with a RX2 rear axle that has a RX7 limited slip and 4:30 Miata ring and pinion. The front suspension was upgraded with late Miata knuckles and brakes, this is currently my HPDE and hillclimb car, I'll be running NASA TT with it next year. I sold the rotary Spitfire to finance the Jensen Healey build.

A buddy got a screaming deal on a stalled restoration 1970 Triumph GT6; it's currently in my garage with a TII motor sitting in it. We upgraded the differential with a Pontiac Solstice unit; if I had to do it over I'd get a Miata diff then use the rear cover from a 1st gen Honda S2000 on that diff, it would e much easier to install. That car also has Miata front and rear uprights, QA1 coilover shocks, all kinds of goodies and from the outside it looks completely stock.
