Rotary Miata

Some photos of the rotary Miata I built. It has a 12a peripheral engine fully built with hardened racing parts took me a total of 3 months to build most of the time i worked on it was after college and the weekends

if you look closely you can see the couplings. Also you can surely use a holley in a PP! lol

Do you have better pictures of the engine bay?
Also what are you planning for suspension and such?
Really cool project tho!

its a holley carburetor 650 ill put more pics of the engine bay soon

Yea its a PP running on a 650 Holley, for suspension i went with KYB GR-2 and lowering springs I'll post pics of the engine bay in a couple of mins

Here are some photos of the car now that its finished. I bought the car without an engine or transmission just a shell. I fully built the 12a with solid corner seal , super seals, racing springs, hardened stationary gears, stage II clutch, Front mnt intercooler, bigger radiator, dual electric fans, racing fuel pump, Mallory fuel pressure regulator, KYB's and the springs came with the car.

Still have a little bit to go i need to install a roll bar, hard top, wheels and slicks

how does the engine feel compared to the factory piston engine? A stock 12A is rated at less hp than the Miata 1.6 liter. I guess a carb is simple and all but I would have done an s5 non turbo 13B engine controlled by a factory ECU.

chokes out because your secondary spring is too light perhaps

Does the transmission tunnel have to be raised at all?
