My new 77 REPU
My new 77 REPU
I just picked up a 77 repu in what I would consider excellent condition. Its got a straight body w/ minimal rust and a clean interior. It also has a bridgeported motor that is very easy to drive around the neighborhod streets compared to what Ive read (its the first one Ive ever driven). Of course that with a RB header and exhaust and 3" piping its loud at idle but not as loud as my neighbors harley. It wails at WOT. Overall a very fun truck to drive - I love it (almost as much as my GSLSE).

Nice truck! You need to take it to sevenstock, would be cool if we can get like 20 or so there! You can meet up here in AZ and join our caravan heading out, I will have the RE5 in back of my REPU. We can compare and see whose is more obnoxiously noisy

Thanks everyone. I told my 5 yo son maybe we would start taking it to cars shows (my SE is not of that caliber - yet!) and 7stock would be a great place to take it! We'll see though..
Tom93R1 - I set off like 5 car alarms driving it into the parking garage at work this morning. I love my new truck!

I found it on craigslist in Austin while looking for mint 79-80 rx7s. There are a few rough shape original repus on the west coast right now and a nice one in Nashville -

This was only the 2nd repu Ive ever seen for sale (locally) in the 2 years Ive been looking. If you find one buy it - I love my REPU!
