thick red wire = battery
thin red wire = car ignition
black = ground

orange = coil +
black = coil -

purple and green are your trigger wires. I cant remember which is which but do a search under my SN.

white wire = dont use

you have to eliminate trailing and leading igniters. you can either wire the green and puple wires directly to the dizzy's green and red (I have to double check later this afternoon).

The stock black with yellow stripe is your ignition wire...goes to MSD's thin red wire. this is your on and off switch.

I pmd you my #. call me so I can tell you where to find the wiring diagram OR if you can wait, call me tomorrow since the diagram is nailed in my garage wall for easy reference

If you're going to use 2 MSD boxes, you're going to eliminate the igniters on the dizzy: black box facing the radiator is the leading igniter while the other one facing alternator is the trailing. so in summary, one msd will go to leading and the other to leading. be sure to mark each MSD box say leading and trailing.

why dont you just bring it over next Saturday and I will hook it up for you, or just call me. its a lot easier than going back and forth

The ignitor (black box) closest to the front of the car is leading. The other one is trailing. If you remove the cap, rotor and shield you will see two sets of wires. The green and red that go to the front ignitor is leading. The ones that go to the other ignitor is trailing.

Remove the ignitor and connect the green wire on the dizzy to the purple wire on the MSD. Connect the red wire on the dizzy to the green wire in the MSD.

Do not connect the white wire.

Connect the orange wire from the MSD to the positive of the leading coil.
Connect the black wire in the bundle with the orange wire to the neg of the leading coil.

Give the MSD power and ground.

lol after numerous try's i have up trying to get the msd's set up to work... but its been awhile and i think i decided to give it another go cause i think my j109 are going out and this bypasses them. ok i hooked up both msd's as instructed and nada no spark . i read msd's test procedure's and it said touch the green and purple wires together with the coil wire close to a ground and if it sparks your good, which it does. but once i hook those wires up to the dizzy red and green wire i get no spark from the coil .. could it be i have bad magnetic pickups?

Run a wire from alternator's "B' terminal to the MSD's thin red wire and trailing coil's positive terminal. If the car starts/idles fine, then you need to modify the old school stock ignition system.
