Move Shifter on TII Trans

I am putting a TII engine and trans in my B2200 soon, and I am wondering if there is a way to move the shifter forward about 6" so that it lines up with the B2200 shifter hole, and is not behind the seat of the truck. I have a NA 13B in there now, using the NA trans, and I just replaced the tailshaft with the one from my B2200 trans to make it work. I can do the same if I can locate a 2WD B2600, but they are not common, and paying for a complete trans and shipping it would be expensive, so if I cant find one locally before I do the swap, I want to make sure the stock shifter can be modded.

Look at post 273 on this thread. It describes putting a TII trans in to a FB but you get an idea of what is required.

If you still need this, at the least for posterity sake

The first post in this video gets you a smidgen over 4" and requires no welding

If you can weld you can get pretty much any length you want. I moved mine ~10"
