mk1 Civic swap?

Hi all, new to the board.

I recently discovered someone I know has a '75 Civic sitting in a field. It doesn't run, probably a bad engine or something. I've been looking into turning it into somethat that runs, something that runs fast. I thought a 12a or 13b would be a fun swap because I love high-reving engines. Why a '75 Civic? Because it's free and it only weighs 1500lbs. So basically, I'm wondering if this is possible, and what it would take to make this work. Any advice, suggestions, or links would be very helpful.

ooooh.... now that would be fun. they have a really cool looking interior and pretty neat styling for a Civic too as I recall.

You know if you put a rotary engine in a honda, it will kill itself, don't you?

I think all Civics are front wheel drive. I'm no Honda expert, but I think even the '73's were wrong wheel drive.

they look to be FWD since I don't see a tunnel for the gearbox and driveshaft. damn.

they're real cool looking though.
