Now that we are getting quite a # of Rx2 people showing up on this part of the fourm.
I was thinking it would be nice to see what everyones Mfd date is. Along with the year, color, if it's a 2dr or a 4dr.

Ill start..

Mfd: - 10/71
Color: - Stock blue

Can't get under the hood to get the color #. To much crap on top of it.
This could also help some of us with getting parts, also finding out about what stuff was changed in the differnet years.

Current color is white and will soon be painted corectly but not sure what color it will be.

I've got horn buttons on the steering wheel, but no "Coupe'" on the trunk, door locks are near the front of the door and antenna is on the right front fender.

only 71's have the rear antenna, Coupe' badge and rearward door locks.

yes i have the door locks at the rear of the doors and
the coupe on the trunk.
anyone know if the old emblems can be re chromed?
the coupe one is really starting to show its age.

My emblems are at the chromer as we speak....only the "mazda", "mazdaRx-2"...as well as my door handles, hood lock...the RE by the front door are plastic (mine are anyway) and can't be dipped.

 

was looking at the coupe emblem and it isn't what you
would call a strong piece I would be worried that they
would break it.

I got the horn buttons on my steering wheel also.
Along with the locks at the front of my doors.
But my RE by the front doors, dont look like they are made of plastic.

 

Mine are the same material as the Front Tooth emblem...thin coating of metal over plastic.

Ok... So I found some old RX2 manuals. It saids the earliest RX2 made were 03/71 and all RX2 made in 71 came with manual tranny. I am going to scan and post it....
