For the last episode of the season, Hammond is reported to be testing a concept car by mazda, and i can only assume it's the Furai

I'm in love with the furai, and top gear for that matter. Too bad the American version is going to suck. Can't beat Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May.

 

Well I hope the hamster gets to drive it. The Car was displayed at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.......and they broke the engine!

Fantastic car though, I wish it could be the next RX-7 too.

Although I would be happy with just a competition version of it. If Mazda went racing with it the fan support would be huge.

 

The Furai is an awesome concept and I would actually trade in my FD towards one if that would be the next rotary sports car.

However, the Furai is literally built straight off of the Mazda Courage race car chasis. It will never see production.

 

You know Mazda has its own race series, right?

Personally, I cant wait to see the Stig rape the Furai.

Bit of a let down, apparently the Furai that they had broken down so they never tested it.

Thats too bad, I really wanted to see them review it. Maybe they'll review it when it works again. They never mentioned what was broken on it though.

If you are wanting to watch it for the Furai, just check the youtube clip because that is all you get. There is a competition at the end of the show with the Germans vs Brits. (Their respective cars, too.)

Also -- I bet it is a matter of time before some crazy Japanese body kit maker designs a Furai body kit :P. I mean look at the Scoot one (with the Infiniti-looking rear end )

 

But then again, Jeremy is freaking huge. A hummer H2 looks like a mid-size SUV next to him.

 

400+HP is nothing for a 20B. 20Bs lay down power like nobody's business.

 

And at not very high boost levels.
