Mazda B2200 rotary conversion (need advice)

Right here we go...

I have a 1995 B2200 on 20" rims and air suspension.

I want to drop a naturally aspirated 13b in and have several questions for you guys.

No. 1 - Which series block? Series 5 N/A be the way to go? Any mods to the engine itself involved in getting it in the truck besides custom engine mounts?

No. 2 - Stick with the stock truck transmission? or go with the series 5? Which is easier? Safe to run the stock transmission? LSD?

No. 3 - I am looking at a full cut bridge port or peripheral porting. Has anyone had experience with either of these? Average engine lifespan of a bridge port and peripheral port? It will be driven on the street (emissions and noise not a big deal where I am from) but not as a daily driver.

No. 4 - Carb or EFI? Which in your opinion is better? Differences between the two?

No. 5 - Recomended intake and exhaust?

Your help and advice is much appreciated.

1) Do you want to run a ECU? No, carb.

2) The bridge/p-port will use tons of gas btw and I think p-port is more race, requires the housings or whatever to be modified a lot.

3) Whatever exhaust/intake you want, ducting is nice & k & n makes great filters. The exuast will depend on the setup but if n/a the road race racing beat header & true duals would be cool w/borla mufflers probably.

4) Well the Series5 has the electric OMP and they burn out I guess, you can't remove it without the car going in limp mode w/out a rtek I'm pretty sure, so I'd go with a S4.

If I was doing this I'd go with a stock turbo 2 or if no emissions n such is required go with a 13b-re.

hope that helps

i would do a bridge port S5 (higher comp for NA)
Webber IDA gets rid of ecu crap...and block off plate solves OMP
it is not hard to do that swap and if you can figure out the input size and length the Truck trans is stronger and has better GR
the NA S5 trans will work also
engine mounts and trans miunts and your done
voila
cheers mate and good luck

Ok so I have decided to go with a Series 5 turbo block that is to be ripped apart, all new seals, bearings, high compression rotors, gaskets, clearincing, slotting, balancing, lightening and peripheral ported. While it is apart would you recommend getting it dowelled aswell or is that not necessary if you are running it N/A?

As for intake I am going to go with the Weber 51 IDA carb but I am still unsure about exhaust. Being naturally aspirated I assume I'm going to want some back pressure in there? What piping diameter do you recommend? What headers?

Also another thing I am stuck on is fuel. New fuel lines? Better fuel pump? Fuel pressure regulator?

My apologies if the questions I'm asking are noobish. This will be my first modded high performance carbureted engine.

3" exhaust should work perfectly.

i aggree with twinkletoes....3 inch exaust willl be great
braided fuel hose and good fuel pump....maybe a holly high flow pump.....and of course you need a regulator to ensure the right pressure for the carb
