Question Mazda 1200 questions/parts:

Hi guys, I was just curious if there are any 1200 experts out there. I'm wondering if there are any aftermarket parts (at all) for these cars. I'm guessing there may be in Austrailia but I thought I'd ask just in case.

I'd like to do some tinkering with my 1200 since the stock exhaust decided to fall apart just recently. Is there any type of aftermarket for intake, carbs, exhaust? A header would be real nice. Suspension stuff would also be a bonus but that can wait awhile I suppose. Is a custom made header my only option?

I know lots people usually throw rotaries into them but the original 4 banger is still running so I figure I might as well get all I can out of it. I think it's also probably worth more with the stock 1200 engine ironically, but I may be wrong there.

I'm also looking for some stock parts:

drivers side window regulator
gas cap keylock cylinder & key
licence plate light metal cover piece
straight front bumper
stock rear view mirrors

If anyone has any of these parts shoot me a PM.

Noltec sells Urethane bushings for the Mazda 1300. I bet they fit the 1200 too:

Thanks for the info. I think the first thing I'm going to work on is headers/exhaust since mine needs attention. No luck finding anything so far, looks like a custom job.

1200's are a tad rare here as well because a lot of them have either been crushed, cut up for racing, bought by wreckers/mazda specialists and seperated and sold as individual parts, or generally just vanished like socks tend to do...

1200's are pretty rare here in AUS aswell. I have a coupe myself and finding some parts for it is a nightmare! Seems as if they sold hardly any 1200's compared to 1300's...which is understandbale as the 1300 is more suited to aussie road conditions.
I have a 1.4 UC motor in my 1200...using the 323 4spd and the original 1200 tailshaft...car goes quite well but to mount the motor requires a bit of custom work on the engine mounts.
Nice 1200 coupe smeagol!! Where did you pick up that from? Can you email me with more info on the car and maybe some pics? Thanks dude

Here's all the photos of it I currently have, but I can easily take some more:

I found it here in Sacramento, CA. Ironically it was only about 10 miles away from me, kind of convenient. I'll email you about it.
