Just picked this up

Previous owner thought the motor was blown but the carb was just clogged.

I need to replace all the weather stripping so if anyone knows of a good shop, please let me know.

The geo metro of mazda rotaries!

My gf has a 94 metro, medium blue. Very similar in color. This R100 reminded me of her car.

*damn good find*

Thanks for the comments. Yes this was the one in San Diego. I was wondering if a shop could just replace the weather stripping with something off the shelf/universal? I checked the website in AU but it didn't mention if the rubber was new or used.

Yeah that came out pretty nice. I would have liked the shifter to be in the original location but it's almost impossible with the 13B 6 port and trans in there now. Any one know of a good restoration shop in CA? I'm contemplating a frame off resto.

Scotts Old Auto Rubber sells only new rubber, and with molded corners (a real 90 a the top of your door, not a wrap-around). Bailey channels are the felt linings that the windows slide in - everything else should be familiar. You can do the hood and trunk, door seals, window seals, and Baileys for a few hundred bucks. Sounds like a lot, but the car will feel SO much better.

Very pretty, always liked the R100, used to race one back in Oz, very nimble car.

Thanks all. The car was a little pricey but for the condition it is in, I didn't mind. The seller was asking for 5K but I got him down to 4K cause he told me the motor was blown. The car is complete and stock except for the 13B, tranny and the spare tire compartment was removed for the dual exhaust.

Crit,

Thanks for the breakdown. I'm definately ordering from them. I was hoping someone in the states would have it cause I have no patience.

Did you see the REPU around the Corner from that car? It's tucked beside a motorhome about 1 block south of where that car was. I was after that car about 1 1/2 years ago, but he didn't want to sell it then. The REPU was pretty nice too.

Didn't see the REPU. The guy actually didn't want to sell it but he is remodeling his house and his wife 'convinced' him to sell it for the extra cash.

IF ANYONE IS LOOKING FOR A R100
I know of one in ORIGINAL condition with a running 10A.
The body is pretty OK but the guy is asking for like 7K.
The car is located in East Los Angeles.
