Talking Juan - http://vintagerotarydecals.com

Hi all.

I have a REPU, and after i painted the car, the decals are missing. I contcted Juan at the company vintagerotarydecals.com, but there has been limited sucess.

At first we talked, I got replies on mails, etc, but lately I can't get hold of him. Juan is running this shop on his spare time, I think, but at least he could reply to my mails? It is not that I have gotten on his bad side either. All conversations have been nice and prudent. I DON'T feel stiffed either, but I just think it is weird he is not responding to my numrous mails and messages on his telephone.

I just want the decals, or a confirmation that he can not deliver them now, in a month, or ever. As it is now, people at the red light don't know what hit them when I smoke their ***. If I had the stock Rotary Power sticker, they would know.

Anyone know Juan, or someone else who could make some decals for my REPU?

My REPU is Olympic Blue(AK), and the decals should be white.

Ciao

I spoke to Juan last week he said he no longer sell this stuff, The shop that produces the decals for him jack up the price sky high. He said that he would have to sell the stripe around 600 buck to make a profit.

Dont know if anyone else spoke to him since but that's was I was told.

Too bad !
I knew I had to buy a set for each of my cars last year but I only bought the Rx-2 striping kit.
I need the Rx-3 door stripe kit now.

Some guy on the vintagerotaries.com forum said most decals would become available in Australia soon.
I doubt the REPU decalls will be made there as they didn't get the REPU.

Do you know him? I would be interested in speaking with him about purchasing the electronic data for going into production on these. There are other vinyl shops out there. Seems to me he may just want out. His number is no longer on the site or I would call myself. Anyone know him or have the number?

Hi.

I am too interested in the data, as I can get vinyl cut cheap and easy ( I have a friend who has a professional machine).

600 USD seemes stiff, but right now, the price isn't that bad. This is "unobtainium" we are speaking about here ;-).

If at the end, I have to ride around in cheesy 85% right from the original stickers, I would feel sad :-(

Come on! Please give/sell the data, or someone else start making these, please !

Ciao

I have my own cutter and have done the graphics for some E Production and Pro7 race cars (as a hobby).

I have access to a REPU and could dupilcate the "Rotary Power" graphic from that.

Just throwing my hat in the ring. If someone can provide the vector art file I can cut it from that. Just let me know if I can be of any help.

Juan was moving and I heard it was tough to make dough selling decals for 30+ year old cars. And give him a ton of credit for starting the enterprise in the first place, I was lucky enough to get tailgate decals for my REPU.

Juan - Where are you ?

Hi.

Just to keep the pressure on ;-)

We are many who are desperate in need of decals. I am willing to buy the vector files from Juan, and start production.

Please; can someone who know him tell him to send me a PM or mail/call me? He has all my contact information ( even my VISA number ; eeek).

Waiting.......

ciao

Happy to join in putting on the pressure..my REPU will need them by fall when
the paint is done..

BIGBLD- What exactly do you need to duplicate the stripes and decals...we'll
certainly assist in any way we can!

Hi.

The best thing would be to have the computerfile used bu the cutter to make the stickers. I think it is called a vector-file.

If we could get that from Juan, we could just go into any vinyl shop, and make them.

Now, PLEASE JUAN, we're dying over here...
