JC Cosmo struts removale?

Well I have Coil overs to put on my Cosmo. I decided to put them on last weekend. well thinking it would be like doing it on my FC I could change all 4 in under 30 minutes. Well this was not to be the case. The FC they just drop right out.

is there some special Mazda ninja tool to get the fronts out? after fighting with 1 front for the better part of 2 hours I just put the car back to normal. I tired using an old school spring compressor on it but it could not compress enough to get it out.

is there a trick to getting them out?

well I dont have good pic of them on the car. I will put it on the lift and take some better ones this weekend

The only way I can see it compress the spring more or remove the lower arm. and removing the lower arm looks like hell to me.

G'day from DMRH

I have never had a problem removing the front struts. I just use an el-cheapo spring compressor & it does the job.

Persistence is the key & make sure your spring compressor stretches to the top & bottom coil. Plus one compressor on each side.

Its a bitch for the first timer but straight forward.
