It's a small rotary world
So I have been driving my rx2 to work almost everyday- I live in Anaheim Hills, Cali and have yet to see another old school rotary or talk to anyone in my city that is in to them in the last 10 years I have been here.
Anyways, I was driving home from work and was at a left turn stop light, pole pisition- right in front- waiting for the light to turn green. As I was waiting, there was a guy crossing the street in front of me. He stopped in front of my car and gave me a big thumbs up and yelled," Yeah, rotary", and then pulled up his shirt sleeve and showed me his rotor tattoo on his arm. I gave him a thumbs up and when the light turned green I romped on it smoking first and second gear well past 8000rpms. I'm sure he appreciated that. hehe. It's nice to find someone else who appreciates rotaries, even though mine is a beater at the moment. Do you guys have any stories like this to tell?

dang that is sick... the other day i was driving to disney world, in florida. while crossing tampa bay, i start squinting to make out what kinda car i'm looking at, had 4 circle headlights. i thought it was like a 82 bmw... anyway i get closer & see that the grill has that little tier just like an rx-2... cant be... a bit closer & the 2 bumps are on the hood... holy **** it was an rx-2!!! it was the first pre-rx7 i'd seen just driving, not at a meet or show. of course the owner knew what he had, there were rotor rims on it, and the paint looked good, someone had fixed it up nice. cool story though
Yeah, I picked up a hooker once and after we agreed on a price... we climb into the back seat, I lift up her skirt and low and behold.... she had shaved her pu**y so it looked just like a rotor - apex seal, internal ring gear and all!
Top that!
Sorry, had to do that, this thread was getting lame.

Eatmyclutch- he was just crossing the street and I never got a chance to talk to him so I don't know what he drives. Maybe I'll see him in an old school one day. hehe

RX2 meeting
ultimatejay,
This just happen to me on Tuesday. I live in San Bernardino recently bought a rx2 sedan. I always get stares, " Like what is it?" and people stating, "I had one but let the shell go cheap after the engine died in the 80's". But most exciting was seeing a perfect specimen, unmolested, everything original except wheels. It was a beautiful thing, it was well taken care of, for instance the dash is still intact, still original paint and engine.
The current owner bought it from the original owner ,who had always garaged the car, after 2 years of coxing her right before she went to the retirement home. I made a weak attempt to buy, he stated he was offered 8 grand and turn it down. It turned out that he restores cars for a living and he has tons of parts for my car, even a AC unit. As my search for parts continues, I hope to get some for him.
