IMSA Gatorade RX-3 on Bring a Trailer
Currently at $53,000 with 4 days to go, Jim Downing acquired it in 2002 and fixed it up.
Lots of good photos inside and under the car.
This was the RX-3 that ran at the 1978 Daytona 24. It needed an engine replacement during the race because the fine sand in the air ate the apex seals and later it had fuel pick up problems.
Lessons from running this car paved the way for the RX-7 that won the GTU class the following year.
