Well was it more than $40? 'Cause that's what I paid for the last one I bought, and it had a factory rebuild 12A with 17K on it. The paint wasn't as nice, though.

what do u consider cheap? i'd guess an rx3 in that kind of condition would go for 3-4k easy.

Before you start calling BS, you should know that I'm 46 years old and started hunting up these old rotaries before anyone really gave a damn about 'em.

Hell, I was GIVEN a rust-free '72 RX3 body!

I took the rebuilt 12a and 4-speed ribcase out of the $40 '74 and put 'em in the '72.

I've also bought the following in years past:

'71 RX2 good runner with $4500 in receipts for $125

'71 RX2 4-door (non-running) for $45

'74 RX4 coupe body in nice shape for $300

'74 RX4 wagon (rust-free parts car) for FREE.

'76 RX4 coupe with sweet running '74 13B for $650

'74 REPU (non-running) in decent shape for $125

'80 RX7 running rust-free Kalifornia car for FREE.

Then there's all the parts (a 10' X 12' shed full) that I scored at $25 all you can carry days at junkyards.

I've worked damn hard becoming the KING of cheapskates.

If you're talking about the $45 4-door, It got traded for some RX3 body parts years ago, and I don't have any pictures of it. I do have a couple of pics of the $125 RX2, but I haven't been able to post a picture on this forum for some time now. Let me see if I can upload a pic to my Homestead site and I'll post it.

Do you realize how many "Mikes" are on this thread?

That RX2 would be worth $8K maybe more here in New Zealand...! (except your steering wheel is on the wrong side).

While I've seen your work and have the utmost respect for your abilities,
ONE RX4 hardly qualifies you as the king of cheapskates.

I'm talking about NINE rotary cars...

As any poker player knows, a single ACE is easily beaten by a FULL HOUSE!
