I just bought cool wheels for my RX-4!
I just won these cool American Racing wheels off Ebay. Maybe I'm paying too much, but I figure they are rare wheels and they are really going to suit the muscle car styling the RX-4 well. I think they are going to look bad *** on the car!

I paid $187.50 before shipping. I don't really think it's all that bad (even w/ the minor curb rash) since you don't see these often. I don't think these have been made since 1978 or so, and they could be as old as the early 70's...Exact same type of wheels as were on the Datsun 510s and 240Zs campaigned by Pete Brock, as well as many other Japanese and British cars that ran in SCCA races during the 70's. The model name is American Racing Libre and they weigh about 13.5 lbs. It's basically a 4 spoke version of the American Racing 200-S which people used to (and still do) like putting on old muscle cars.
I'm from Southeast Missouri, Cape Girardeau area.

Actually, I do think it's Libre. Every place Ive seen it written on the 'net it's said Libre...even places that sell refurbished ones, like here:
http://www.akhwheels.com/pages/inventory.php?cat=1
But maybe I'll try to search with Libra and there will be twice as many results. I'll check it out.
What do you guys think about the price I'm paying?

I'm sorry man, but no I don't think I want to sell them. I can't honestly think of a wheel I'd rather have on the car (except for some certain stock alloys that were options in Japan.) I'm pretty exited about having them becuase I'm going for the bad-*** mini-muscle car look that will make the red necks go "what the hell is that!?!?" The fact that they are 14s is also a plus because there are better tire choices when compared to the 13" stock steelies.
Thanks for the offer though. I bought them just for me, but it's nice to know people like and want them.

I just got them in the mail a couple days ago. They need a good cleaning. I've polished the lip on this one...Now I've gotta firgure out how to remove the speckles from the center part. Anyone know about wheel restoration?
They've got a bit of curb rash, but I can accept that on 25-30 yr. old wheels.

Those look better in that photo then the other one you posted and showed me.
When are going to fit them up on the rx4?.
I still like these rims better though.
I pain to stuffing those on my car. 17 x 6.5 in front and 17 x 7.5 in back.
