Question How in the world?...

Ok...so I'm putting all the badges back on my newly painted Rx2 and am stumped. Anyone have any ideas on how to mount the "Mazda" emblem on the trunk? Its impossible to put the little metal tabs that hold onto the pins. I'm pretty sure it was double-sided taped to the trunk before painting....its a real good puzzle! Looks like the only way to do it is to cut the weld on the underside of the trunk lid....**** that.

After seeing them for $100 at 7Stock...I sure don't want mine stolen.

Mine were removed & holes filled in on my latest RX-2, but from what I can recall on my previous RX-2s that rear "Mazda" badge just pressed in and was held on with these weird clamps inside the holes that keep them in place. I could be misaken though, but I can't imagine having to cut out the support just to install a badge.

PM STERLING. Can polished those emblems and at the same time, he can replace those darn tabs with actual studs/nuts.

As i said, pm him for details.

The studs and little clips aren't the problem...there is NO WAY to get to the back side of the emblem once put on the car to get to the pins to install those clips...no finger, pliers or anything can attach them on the back.

Wacky....its been rechromd, but there is no way to get to the nuts to tighten them if I did swap 'em out.

the pins are just to align the emblem aren't they?
and it was held on with molding tape.
my car is not handy or i would take a look
regardless that's how i would put it back on.
