Help - RX3 drive shaft length?

I need help! I snapped the driveshaft on my RX3 and there is not enough left to measure the length. I have an early RX7 driveshaft with the correct ends, but I need to know how far to get it cut down. There are some other length adjustments that have to be made, but anyway, what I really need to know is what is the length of a stock driveshaft on an RX3. Once I know that, I can figure out what I need from there.

Thanks
Eddie

Yes, I'm fixing the race car !

See you at MidOhio 7-31/8-1

do you have the long or short pinion shaft (diffy). There's a difference between a regular RX-3 and the RX-3 SP driveshaft.

if ur using the 79 rear end, then you must have the short pinion. OK, I will measure it this weekend. I have the SP drivetrain with 83 GSL 3rd member.

glad to hear you are fixing it.. keeps my temptations to buy it away..

If you get into a bind.. I have a copy of an SP driveshaft made a few years ago for a racer friend of mine for his GT RX-3.

I am currently using the long pinion, and moved the engine/trans way back... far enough i had to fab my own front mount and trans mount... notch the shifter hole.. to the point, that finally... a stock 79-85 driveshaft works..
