GSL-SE Distributor on 13B-REW

I threw in my spare 13B-REW into my RX3 wagon with a set of Webers just to get it back up and running. Only issue is the FD block has a tab on the front plate which hits one of the vacuum advances. I plan on locking the distributor to cut off the vacuum advance, has anyone been through something similar?

You can unbolt the mounting plate and rotate the distributor 180 degrees so the vacuum cans are facing out.

I had to do this on a peripheral port 12A I built a long time ago, I can't even remember why (something to do with the intake manifold), it worked just fine.
