little update. took my bed off to start mending it and treating rust.
my 4yr old daughter decided she wanted to paint so i let her go for it lol since i will be stripping the frame for rust treatment any actually dont mind the silver lol..
my walbro 255 pump failed so i am going to redo the fuel system
going to do the surge tank setup using a holly blue to fill it.either gonna buy a tank or make one also going to source a better pump since cheap dosnt allways work out stupid ebay crap.

update i drove the truck again yay
so my origanal goal was to tig weld it all together but we had constant problems with the welder the board fryed then the replacment didnt work.
i got sick and tired of waiting around for the inlaw to get it fixed up.
lucky enough i had done enough welding that everything was held together strong. The other day i was gandering through bimart and found a solder for metal. i thought to myself this might just work and it did.yay
i know solder isnt the awnser let alone it being weak but it seems pretty damn strong and sealed up the pin holes.
slapped it in the truck and went for a drive. Couldn't go very fast my wheel keept spinning on the gravel/tarmac got stuck a bunch on grass lol.
here is the pump and bracket welded up
I ended up drilling holes through the tank and sloch cup and using some steal rivits then i used the tig to fuse all 3 together. As you can see my first attempts sucked lol then i came up with the rivit idea. The big hole's i soldered up so the sloch cup held gas instead of leak out
mass amounts of solder
the drips are from when i filled the sloch cup holes with solder it basicly sealed the tiny pin holes
i know it looks tacky but it did the deed

basically i ran soapy water in it once then rinsed twice let it dry it was done in about a 1hr no super cleaning of any sort. even if u drained the tank and let it air out the gas would evaporate would be a small chance of fire but u would be welding and have a helmet and gloves on for protection ..

small update
i have cleaned and sealed the inside of my fuel tank with a por15 kit i would totally recommend it.
also put in a aeromotive 344 stealth pump and rewired with 10ga.
now im just waiting on my aeromotive fuel pressure regulator as the stock one cant handle the pump
was running for awhile but just flooded out since i had 55psi with just the key on..
