Gas for the RX8

hey guys gotta question about octane ratings for the RX8....i just went to the mazda dealer today and finally got a upfront and personal close view of the 8....damn it if i was 10 years older and had a decent paying job.....this would be my family sedan type....ah but anyways....i saw the octane requirements being 93 for the RX8....would the N/A low octane and Turbo high octane argument still hold true for the RX 8? or would it need the 93 rating octane? and if so why? the renesis i would think is just a much more efficient version of the original 13b N/A engine with the exhaust and intake ports no longer overlapping....i wouldn't think that preignition would be a problem...or would the extra rpms or the higher hps produce enough heat to preignite?
