yeah the price i feel was fair. the car really does have some problems but the body is really in pretty good condition. the interior is shot to hell. not sure how I am going to go about fixing the interior yet.
first things first, getting the car to run decent. tried looking on the internet for Dellorto parts...... not having any luck!

.........I take that back, first things first, selling my race car to help pay for this new toy, THEN get the car running as it should.

seller is a nice guy, easy to deal with.

What do you need for Dellorto parts? Rebuild kits can be had from cbperformance.com from the guys running them on aircooled VW motors.

For jets and components, call these guys below, ask for Jorge.

pretty much an entire interior, (dash is broken and peices missing, front seats are pretty tore up and not secured down, I have not seen the door panels yet so I cant comment on those, back seat is in fair condition. head liner is torn pretty bad.

wiring needs to be finished up as there are no head lights, no blinkers... ect. could use a paint job. also need to figure out why it runs so poorly. it was explained to me that the car ran perfect untill a peice broke int he carb float assembly causing the carb to run low on fuel.

car needs a lot of work as said before, but at the same time it seemed like a fair price considering I cant find an RX-2 for sale around here. from what I have seen a faily nice RX-2 goes for around $5000???

my main reason for buying it was for the pre 75 no smog. the rest of the stuff can be fixed with time and money. (to bad I dont have both right now )

all in all, the guy was very honest with me over the phone and over e-mails. from what I can tell he didnt hide to much form me

Ill try and post some pics when I get home.
sorry Ricky, I dont meand to thread hijack you.

there's a sticky for on-line wiring diagram but prepared to do lots of copying and pasting to multiple 8x14, and a see-thru tape.

Also, I have a complete wiring diagram for my RX-3 which is the same **** as the RX-2. Except I require a complete race motor as a deposit.

he he, your a funny man Wacky!

the wireing is all "aftermarket" (painless wiring)
so there are NO factory wiring. it's one of those "if it needs electricity, put it on a switch" type of things. I would say 75% of the wiring is done, just needs head lights, and blinkers most of all.

I may have some spare parts you'd need, let me know how those panels look.. found a 73 coupe in a pick-n-pull a few months back and went crazy stripping the whole car. Also got an uncracked dash pad, but that's going on my '2, heh.

what all did you get from the junk yard?

does anyone have any info on the RX-2's? like specs or something liek that? any comparisons to the RX-3 , RX-4

sounds to me like the RX-2 is a lot like the RX-3. ( I keep hearing its shorter and hevier though ) but sounds like the dask pad is the same????

bare with me, I am new to this Old School thing. but I sure know my second gens..... and RX-8's

Full RX-2 manual online. Go to your local library with a USB flash drive if you don't have a fast connection, as they're each about 350 MB.

The only reason, it seems, to go with an RX-2 is if you like the style. The RX-3 is lighter, more common, and was available with 10A or 12A engine options. Its also got rear leaf springs rather than coils for a simpler geometry.

I still like the 2, though.
