Finally part of the Club. My New RX-4

After almost a year of searching for a RX-3 I stumbled across this one. I can't wait to get started on it. I've always wanted a Rotory and now here it is. Hope you guys are kind to a Rotor Noob.

Wow simply beautiful... You know us rotorheads are a special breed... Most people would look at that car and call it an ugly piece of crap...

Stay away from the piece of crap before its too late. Just stick with your TOYOTA or get at least a 1st gen RX-7, not an old school junk. Since we're in this topic, PM me the contact person so I can haul that POS to a junkyard.

Talking

Yes this is that car.

Wacky, you can lighten up on me now. I'm part of the family. Plus I'll probably need tons of help in the future.

The car's coming home today and 1st order of business will be to clean the hell out of it and take some more pictures.

I got it for less then the listed price too. I was pretty shocked at that part of the deal.

I hope to have it up and running for the upcoming JCCS show.

Finally got the car home yesterday. I had a hard time hooking up with the seller in order to pick it up. Anyway it was an adventure to say the least. I asked for a flatbed, they sent a regular tow truck. On the Freeway the left rear wheel sheared off and the tire flew off at 70 mph. The car jerked the tow truck hard to the left and the tire nailed a dodge neon. The driver of the tow truck saved the car and pulled it off to the shoulder. The drive of the neon kept driving. I ended up losing the rear brake drum and the rim was broke from the impact with the other car. But the RX survived with only those parts missing. The body didn't get a ding on it. The rearend wasn't so lucky, but I had planned on changing that anyway. But needless to say it scared the sh*t out of me to see my car skidding around the freeway on the back of a tow truck.

So here are a couple more shots of it as it sits right now. I've started cleaning it up a little, but it will need a lot more work then originally anticipated. "But then again, don't they all."

nice. Just take your time with this project. Here's pix of Ray's RX-4 when they brought it to me. So if you're in doubt, either ask me or Arnel. We both owned one in the past. AND YEAH, JUNK THAT CELICA.

I've always wanted a Rotary. Infact I got into Toyotas thinking I was buying a RX3. I ended up with a TE37 Corolla. But that was a long time ago.

But I've already noticed a much better build quality with the Mazda then the Toyotas. They are a much more solid car and the finish is much better then the Toyota. I just need to finish off my Carina and then I'll start on the RX.
