thats actually really cool,
i bet it wieghs allot though (probably more than a v8 conversion.. batteries), and that motor cant be cheap,,
if i were one of these people with lots of money, id also add a briggs and stratton lawnmower motor with a generator to help charge the batteries... (one that runns off basically any fuel,, (a combination intake for it) maybe hydrogen, regular gas, or maybe even mcdonalds grease!

i know im a bit crazy, but thats what i would do if i was into electric conversion...

i think some of what i just said mayhave come out of old popular science mags...

Well ****, there's no dedicated battery box - just what they could get in front of the engine. It would make a nice daily commute if you're in the city. You'd likely get rock star parking (I know that you do here at Coke - 3 spaces for EVs that never get used), not to mention use of the HOV (Carpool) lane which is open for alternate-fuel cars. You might get a nice tax break, too.

Not a bad idea if you've got a fire-damaged FD or something.

If I ever went electric, I'd just use a free energy device instead of all those heavy batteries. And if you're wondering, yes they do exist, have patents and all that.

FYI Mythbusters has tested many free energy devices and none worked. Which one do you have in mind Jeff? -brad-
