does anyone with a r100 want to trade?

Someone might trade you if you had something like a S5 T2 or an allirght 3rd gen, but a 210, i dont think so. r100's are the hardest to find rotary cars period(usa), rx3's second. The one with a blown engine just went on ebay for over 5k. field cars fetch like 2k.

Whats a Datsun 210? Sounds like it isnt worth the value of a R100 swap?
The price of the early Mazdas in the US seems to be climbing very high very quickly!!! Still, the prices you see on Ebay seem to be very overpriced. They sold a lot of the early RX's in the US...i know they crushed a lot, but a lot will still be around!

I'll have to disagree with you. There are not all that many left. Take the R100 for example. Only 5200 were ever sold in the 3 model years that it was imported to the U.S. Actually 1971 was the only full year that the car was imported. 1970 and 1972 were only half years. The car was only sold in 3 Northwest states and the cities of Houston and Miami (the deler network was only begining). Finding a R100 in the rest of the 45 states is rare. Throw in 33 years and you only have a handful of cars left. The red R100 on ebay had over 40 bids from at least 10 different people. Ten people wanted 1 car. I don't think the price was too high or too low. It is the current value of a very complete very restorable car. The red car is headed to Puerto Rico so add another $1500 to the price for transportation. People are willing to pay big money for R100s in this condition. The man who bought this car is smart due to the very completeness of the car. Parts for these cars have always been very hard to locate. Even as far back as the 1980s the parts supply has been very limited.

Yeah R-100s like that red one recently listed on eBay are unheard of. I've never run across one with the original 10A engine and I've been looking for a good 6-7 years. I just hope that one on the way to Puerto Rico isn't torn up for drag racing, the old school rotaries are really popular over there for that.

Eddiejo36 bought a white R100 from me last year. Actually he was very interested in restoring the car he bought from me to original. He needed a source for a 10A engine but I did not know where he could pick one up. The red one he bought on ebay would be a much better canidate for an original stock restoration. Lets hope he does!
