datsun rotary?
Do many people put rotary's in datsun 240z's or 510's? i found this site:
http://www.bryanf.com/510/index.htm
so do people put a 13b for example in a 240z?

putting a rotary in a 510 is not an original thing. there are a few out there, but many are not well documented. there are even a few threads on the board about them. since they are a hybrid of sorts, they usually will bounce between the 510 and rotary online communities like i do.
as you can tell from my sn, i dropped a rotary into my 510.
bryanf's rotary 510 is probably the standard by which most will measure up to for a while. while ultra impressive, i dont have the fabrication skill nor patience to wait that long to drive my car.

back in the 1980's we did (me and my dad) a full tube 510 with a PP 13B cut and set back 8 inches into the fire wall.............
that car ran so good they banned us.............then we went rx7...LOL
but that car was wild.all fiber glass weighed just about 1300-1500 lbs
with a pickup rear end and diff ..i think it was about a 4:7 rear.......
set was a breeze...just use front cover from a older engine and make a bracket
then gear box bracket and drive like crazy...OK ok ok not sooo simple but close enough

Ok so I got the motor and trany in the 510 and mocked up the motor mounts, this weekend I'll see how much I can push the motor back. Maybe I'll take a few photos **** and gigles

OK here's a few photo's for **** and gigles, not gonna be as pretty as bryan's 510 but I'll make do with what tools I have available after all I'm no expert. Next weekend I'll make the trany mount and weld the motor mounts in place.

Bring the car in two weeks, I just need to finish the mounts so I can take the car off the stand.... I'll make room for you
