Das Speedster is running warm

I got my brand new 12a rotary put into Das Speedster and it was running a nice 175degrees and in traffic maybe 180degrees and this was on a hot 90 degree day in the midwest. I was running my fabbed up twin pipe zoomy style exhaust and the Police told me it was way too damn loud. His exact words. So I fabbed up a twin header exhaust into twin glass packs and ran it under the car. Now my radiator is in the back and the cool air is funneled directly through the radiator and then out the bcak of the car. After installing my peaceful, happy place quiet pipes under the car,Das is running warmer. Today it idled at 195 degrees and would occasionally dip closer to 200. Didnt make me too happy. I happened to have a digital EGT gauge so I rigged it up just to see how hot my exhaust gets in normal rush hour traffic. Would you freaking believe 1800degrees at the exit? No wonder the car is running warmer as it is pulling blow furnance heat right through my radiator. I think I am going to warp the exhaust and put a turn out so that it exits right in front of the rear tire. Anybody know the boiling point of a bias ply tire.lol

graet project, somehow you've got to try to put a silencer, because it's gotta
be too loud, excuse me by saying ever consider a racing beat muffler, i know there's
gotta be a lot of sorting out things, but in the long run you'll be able to enjoy
your ride a lot more! good luck!

sorry to tell you even more you could fit it right under the passanger's side, you only
need to heat wrap the entire exhaust, also put some sort of protection under that
area as well.

I have a complete Racing Beats Exhaust system and would have to chop it up in a thousand pieces to make it fit under the floor, which is why I cut a perfectly good equal length Racing Beats header in order to fab up a dual exhaust. I actually like the sound of the exhaust when I ran the zoomies. From inside the car it wasnt too loud but if you were the car next to me it was very loud as the zoomies were pointed right at you. When I fabbed up the exhaust I also made it so it can be completely removable in about 15 minutes so I can quickly install the zoomies for car shows. When I built the car the passenger side floor board is double layered so no heat will get into the passenger compartment. There is the regular floor then two layers of composite heat soak material then I welded a second floor over that so it would trap the insulation between layers.
