Exactly what is it leaking?

The brake booster is only full of vacuum, and when it is leaking it will whistle.

If you see brake fluid, then it would be a bad master cylinder.

Mann,
Several years ago I had the same problem and was not able to find a brake booster. I picked up an Rx7 booser and clamped it in a vise and split it (the top and bottom are threaded together). I did this by making a tool that bolted to the top piece and unscrewing it. This also allowed me to used the larger mater cyclinder.

Just a thought...
Good luck!

Actaully,
the car braked about the same but the pedal feel was a whole lot better. I felt like I could take to the edge without locking it up.

I don't understand what you mean when you say you split the booster. Can you explain a little more? Did you continue to use the rx2 master cylinder or did you use the rx7 master cylinder and change the lines? The rx7 booster's diameter is a lot more than the rx2's. When I first got my rx2 I tried to change to the rx7 master/booster assembly and found out that it didn't fit! It interfered with the clutch master and the holes would need to be re-drilled. How,excactly did you make it work? Thanx

FYI the 1979 Rx-7 booster is the smallest of all years of Rx-7 if that helps any.

Hey Mann,
I have been out for a couple days, so I have not replied. I will write something up and post it soon.
