PA bought an RX3 brake questions

I just bought a 1974 RX3.

Previous owner changed differential to 9" Ford rear. I see rear Disk brakes, but no emergency brake or cable. I tried searching on the forum but not finding answer to what I should do to add/retrofit emergency brakes and cables/hardware etc.

Is there a package I can purchase to use on this 9' ford diff set up and retrofit the existing brakes or get a cable any schematics available.

Also there is a master cylinder, but no brake booster . Trying to buy one. Any one has one or location where I can get one.

Wiring schematics on RX3

Thanks
Al

Hi Al. I would think your best bet for e brake set up on a ford 9" would be to source the cable etc from a mustang, explorer or what ever you rear came out of and work backwards from there. As for the booster you wont find it at your local napa parts store. throw up a WTB ad on this site. You be surprised what people are hoarding

well aside from maybe the car was originally 808 ( or 818 US ) .. the 808 in oz and jap had no brake booster

now that you have disc brakes all round you will need a different master with equal sized bowl halfs and with disc brake residual valves ( or none at all )

in oz they buy the JB1419 ( nissan patrol ) 1inch bore master
and take out the ( drum brake ) residual valves in both ports
and mill the ID of the mazda alum spacer a little larger to fit ( on mazda brake booster )

i suspect you will need some sort of bias valve in the rear line

edit .. oops .. re read and saw you need the booster.. not master.. disregard

for brake booster here it depends on the model year of the 808/ rx3

if it is pre 75 it will be 2 bolt ( 808 ) at the firewall or 3 bolt ( rx3 with booster )

and you need an rx3 booster ( probs not avail )
or you need to drill 2 more holes ( total 4 ) for a 1600 808 , capella, 929 or 323 booster
( thinks the 323 and may be smallest and fit better against the clutch slave )

if it is post 75 it should have provision on firewall for 4 bolt holes
( as the 1600 808 should have a booster )
and the 1600 808, 323 , rx2/capella/ 929/ rx4 stuff should fall in

1600 808 booster is avail at cardone .. sku 53-5221
