ATTN: Owners of "old school" cars
I currently work for Carlisle Productions and we're looking to try to expand our Import/Kit Car show. This isn't a "Hot Import Nights" style show (that's what our Custom Compact Nationals are for) - right now it's mostly old European cars - British roadsters, French and Italian cars. We want to expand the appeal of the show to bring in more 70s and 80s cars (these are becoming "vintage") and especially cars from Japan.
So what we're looking for is people (and especially clubs) interested in bringing their vintage Mazdas to the show. It might not be a bad idea to form a club (if you haven't already) so that you can have a club tent area and such. Last year we only had a few Mazdas - though one of them was owned by an RX-7Club.com forum member whose name escapes me - his car is a white 20B FC convertible, and there was also an RX-5 Cosmo.
We're hoping that increased interest in these cars will lead to more coming next year which will subsequently drum up more interest in the cars - remember, if vendors see more of these cars coming in they might see a market for parts for them (perhaps reproduction RX-3 taillights, for instance).
Feel free to respond here or email me at jlatshaw@ptdprolog.net.
Thanks!
