I was very fortunate to come across this REPU the way it sits. All I did is take off the original wheels and painted and install the wheels and tires you see in the pictures.

I will be putting on the stripe kit, reupholster the bench seat, and sometime this year I will remove the original motor and preserve it. I will then install a newly rebuilt 13B-REW bridgeport motor that I have ready to go with a custom exhuast.

This thing is practically brand new goes straight as an arrow.

I have a blue one forsale no motor and not even close to the condition of the white REPU, but it still looks decent.

engine bay painted, suspension, ball joints, rotors, calipers, brakes, wheels cylinders, front shocks, idler arm, tie rods, etc... replaced a year ago

damn I am jealous... I have been looking for a steering box rebuild kit for EVAR!!! ... can't find it anywhere.

and as far as the one you're selling, I saw the thread and was wondering why you would be selling it. its a clean truck too and would make a great truck for someone looking... these things are only going to get more expensive.

fortunately (or unfortunately ) I have a project i am working on... if all goes as planned it should be pretty cool.

congrats on the new purchase and most importantly... enjoy it.

I dont think they make kits anymore, but I believe Brad with the green REPU sent his out to a company to rebuild his.

One REPU is enough for me I need to make room for a another rotary project that my friend is holding for me.

Whats the project you are working on or did I miss something?

Thanks, I plan on driving it everywhere this summer

I have never found a repu steering box rebuild kit. Parts are extremely hard to find since it's metric and from the 70's. I sent my box to http://lee-powersteering.com/ and they rebuilt it. Made a bronze bushing and welded the adjustment screw tip longer (tip was worn from adjusting). Magnafluxed, adjusted, new seals, shipped for $254.17.

Thats what really kills the old school rotaries, worn out steering boxes. It really nice when you go straight as an arrow like a normal car.

Hows the rebuild, brand spanking newski!!

UPDATE: I was fortunate in finding a rare dealer bumper guard. I did not know it was a dealer item until I came across a dealer catalog over on the REPU forum.

Now the hunt for the rear bumper guard to match, if anyone know of one available. Please PM me thanks

Is the paint original on the white REPU? If so thats in amazing condition for an east coast truck. Since everyone is sharing I'll throw up a picture of my 77 too. I just torched the transmission in my REPU a week ago so Im on the hunt for another 80 rx7 transmission (or cheap car!) or I'll try shortening the shift linkage on my spare -SE transmission. Then one of these days I want to fix the small amount of rust in the bed of the truck and repaint it the original yellow color. I also need some original sideview mirrors too....
