Made my motor mount today , had to drop the motor pretty low .I used a rx7 mount and modified it . Thats a plus because that motor was setting pretty high . Also put the clutch master in pretty easy just drilled a new hole under the pivot point and bent the rod slightly .

Ok , it's been a while .I moved the cross member mounts forward to shorten up the cross member extension ( it had to much deflection ) . The shifter on the 83 fb was really short so I grafted the fb ball and the glc shifter . Lastly I fit the rx2 radiator , I sweat the tank brackets off the glc rad and put them on the rx2 rad to make it easer to mount . The exhaust is almost done and pics will follow and the one thing I have not read on any other thread is about pinion angle . The 12a down in the front and trans shimmed up in the rear points 5 1/2 degrees down my pinion is up 1 1/2 degrees( that leaves 4 degrees to go ) . I came up with a 40.00 way to adjust the angle up and pics will also follow

Pretty good day of work today , installed the proportioning valve for the rear brakes , the 5/16 fuel line , rx7(fb) fuel pump and filter ,the whole exhaust(started on that last saturday ,all mandrel bends ,2 borla 2 1/2 in and out and v bands)built the header and installed the fuel pressure regulator .Gotta do 2 posts to fit all the pics .I also included a pic of how short the trans mount is now.

no fun

kind of getting burned out because the end is near , here is what I have been working on the last two days :I mounted the radiator and oil cooler , I angled the oil cooler back and made a funky bracket (don't know if its gonna stay ) adapted an electric fan and shroud and rebuilt and mounted the carb .

Well here are some pics of the battery in the rear , I ran the cable in the drivers quarter panel and through the drivers lower rocker . I used a thick plastic wrap around the Pos. cable and grommets for all the holes . I also used a battery bulk head to pass the power through the fire wall . I used a disconnect in the rear for the battery , I didn't want to put it outside the car and make it attract attention . I plan on putting a 50 amp marine breaker next to the battery for protection .

To continue , I also mounted the stock fb coils where the jack use to be and made some alterations to the panhard bar and the upper links to get the correct pinion angle (3 1/2 degrees ) .

Hey Matt,

small word, I found your thread.

Just a small suggestion, I fitted a extra anti-rollbar to my GLC, and it does make a huge difference. I used a rollbar from another GLC, and cut the ends that fits into the lower control arms off, and mounted it below the existing rollbar.

Keep up the build, I love this car.

Adin
